During the first 6 months of the year we included a walk in the daffodil woods in the Newent area, a first for us and although due to the early season for flowers most of the daffodils were going over, we did enjoy a very good pub lunch. February found us on a walk in Stratford, having travelled by the Stratford Blue Bus, led by Stan and Margaret. It was a great walk again followed by a pub lunch and as they did not require any funding for transport members agreed that they would like to donate £1 a head to a charity and so £23 was sent to the Gloucester and Warwickshire Railway.
We usually walk on the second Thursday of the month and left to do this year are walks in Tewkesbury (led by Olga and Chris), Kinsham, Snowshill and White Ladies Aston. My thanks to Jill who led our walk in Bretforton in August and Chris who will always turn and to do a recce with me. I much appreciate his help and company.
