Do you like to walk?  But can’t manage a proper ramble any more – or cope with those awkward stiles?  How about trying Village Strolls?   Exactly what it says.  Gentle pace, short distance, interesting things to see, and for Village Strolls 2 at least, guaranteed good weather! This year our walks have included gorgeous snowdrops in Overbury, the site of an ancient castle in Weston-sub-Edge, and a fascinating visit to a newly-built eco-house in Cropthorne.

Unfortunately Village Strolls 2 is having a bit of a membership crisis.  It’s a given with U3A groups that some of us are getting on a bit, and this month has sadly seen 4 people deciding that even our gentle walks are too much for them.  And another member has broken his ankle  - NOT on a stroll, I hasten to say! Add to that the fact that we all lead busy lives and frequently find ourselves having to do something else on Strolls day (2nd Tuesday morning of the month), numbers are sometimes dangerously low.  We have a small hard core of very enthusiastic members and it would be a shame if the group has to close.

So please come and join us – preferably with a friend. .  Don’t have a car?  Unless you live miles away, somebody will be able to provide you with a lift.  Dogs welcome by arrangement.

This group is now full, so please ask to be put on the waiting list.
