On the 1st of July, as an end-of-term treat, the Papercraft Group held a workshop on tiling. The workshop was led by Sandy, a local craftswoman, and she was assisted by her friend Kate. We learned about stamping and embossing, and experimented with various techniques and, by the end of the session, we had all produced some cards which we were very proud of! No end-of-term treat can be complete without some food, so at lunchtime we sat in the garden – we had chosen a lovely, sunny day – and enjoyed each other’s company and, of course, some tasty treats.
We won’t be meeting again until the 1st Tuesday in September when we will be having a “bring and share” session. We all have our own favourite papercrafting techniques and enjoy sharing ideas and tips with each other. Needless to say we probably do a lot more talking during our sessions than papercrafting, but that’s all part of the fun!
